      <p><b>After graduating from Florida Southern College, went to Emory University, School of Dentistry. After a residency at Ohio State University for a certificate in Oral Surgery and anesthesiology, I joined my father's practice in Coral Gables.  Later decided to return to school for a MPA / MPH for employment with the Virginia Commonwealth, Department of Health as an inspector for acute care services. My responsibilities included facility licensure / Medicare certification and complaint investigations. My most unusual experiences were a hospital fire and the Bobbitts incident. </b></p>
 <p><b>After ten years, was invited to become an accreditation surveyor for the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, Inc. in Chicago. My responsibilities included surveying ambulatory surgery centers in which I am currently conducting. </b></p>    
 <p><b>Married Virginia in 1972. She graduated from the College of William and Mary and went to Emory University for a Masters in Library Science. Latter, she received her PhD from Virginia Commonwealth University. She is currently the Library Director at Richard Bland College of the College of William and Mary. She has just finish being state president of an academic society for women teachers. She is planning to retire this June, with our five dogs and five cats on the farm.</b></p>
