      <p><b>I graduated from Emory University and the University of Miami Medical School. I married my Emory Sigma Chi sweetheart, Sandy, (45 years ago this year), and we moved to Charlotte, NC where we still live. I completed an orthopedic surgery residencey and did a stint in the NC National Guard. I am still in private orthopedic practice with OrthoCarolina. </b></p>
      <p><b>We are very fortunate that our three children and two precious grandsons live neaby. I realized two long time dreams - to own a farm and a Harley Davidson - and I make the most of both as many weekends as I can. Sandy is a lifelong advocate for persons with disabilities which often keeps her busier than I.</b></p>
