After graduation attended The Citadel for a year and then returned to Miami. Attended U of M. Drafted in 1968 and after returning from Viet Nam married Barbara Davis (Gables Class of '68) in November of 1969. Finished my undergraduate degree in business at Miami in 1972. Soon thereafter went to work for Coral Gables Federal. Finished my masters degree at Miami in 1979.
Left the bank and Miami in September of 1980 and moved to Bozeman, Montana. Taught at Montana State University for three years. Our only child, a daughter, was born in January, 1982. She is now a junior at Montana State.
Went back into banking in 1984 and after two years remembered why I got out the first time. Barbara and I bought a land title company, Security Title Company of Montana (www.sectitle.com) in June 1986. There were three employees. Today, we have a staff of 32. We have also had the opportunity to expand our business interests into the hospitality industry with hotels in Bozeman and Denver and other commercial real estate in Montana and Utah.
From a fun side, Barbara and I are both licensed pilots. Me in 1967 and her in 1997. We greatly enjoy travel for business and we still get to Florida on a regular basis as my parent are in Miami and Barbara's in New Port Richey. Forty years has certainly gone by quickly.
