I was fortunate enough to have married my high school sweetheart, Arlyne Tendrich, who is a Miami High graduate(class of '63). I taught Junior High science for two years and then went on to the University of Miami School of Law, from which I graduated in January of 1971. I am a transactional attorney, that is, an attorney who specializes in corporate and business law, wills and trusts, and real estate law.

I have two wonderful children. My daughter Jodi and my son-in-law Brian produced a beautiful granddaughter, Sara, for us, on January 17, 2001. Jodi, taught elementary school until she made Arlyne and me grandparents. She is a co-founder of an Internet educational company, of which she is the President and hopes to get someone like Microsoft to co-venture the finished product. She is about 6 months from having the product finished.

My son, Devin, attended the University of Georgia and then transferred to Emerson College in Boston. He has written a couple of scripts that have been produced on TV and is now in the process of writing his "novel."

My wife, Arlyne, teaches 14 hours a week (part time), in the "English as a Second Language Department", of the Miami-Dade County School System. She loves it and her students love her. Our hobbies are obtaining Americana collectables, contemporary art and antiques -- Quite an eclectic mish-mash. We recently moved from Kendall to Coconut Grove and live about 2 miles away from Gables High. I talk to Mr. Walker (my 11th and 12th grade English teacher) about twice a year. He is very proud of the book I wrote in l987 called: BUYING RIGHT: GETTING STARTED IN REAL ESTATE INVESTMENTS. It sold around 38,000 copies in hard-bound and around 10,000 copies in paperback. I thought I'd make my retirement from the book-- but after promotional expenses, etc.--No such luck--But at least I can say to my grandchildren, I had a book published. Would I write another book? It took me over a year to write that one--I am not a clever writer like my son, so the answer is probably NO. Besides the activities mentioned above, I am involved with ChamberSouth, the American Heart Association, Meals on Wheels, and JVS.
